Last Updated: 18 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Maizan Institute of Innovation & Technology (MIIT) website, https://www.miitmaldives.com/, and your interaction with MIIT's programmes, courses, training services and related online content.

By accessing or using this website, submitting an enquiry, registering for a programme, or otherwise using MIIT's services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or its services.

1. About MIIT

Maizan Institute of Innovation & Technology (MIIT) provides technology and innovation education in the Maldives, including programmes and training in areas such as STEM, robotics, artificial intelligence, coding, drone technology, 3D design and related digital technologies.

MIIT provides programmes through online, in-person and hybrid formats. Programme availability, delivery methods, locations, schedules and eligibility requirements may vary.

2. Use of This Website

You may use this website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

You agree not to:

  • use the website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its systems or any associated accounts;

  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;

  • introduce malicious software, code or other harmful material;

  • copy, reproduce, modify or distribute website content without permission;

  • use information obtained from the website to impersonate MIIT or misrepresent your relationship with MIIT.

MIIT may restrict or suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users, its services or its operations.

3. Programme Information

MIIT makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on this website is accurate and current.

Programme descriptions, schedules, fees, locations, availability, eligibility requirements, instructors, course content and delivery arrangements may change.

Publication of a programme or course on the website does not guarantee that the programme will remain available or that a particular course will proceed on a particular date.

MIIT reserves the right to make reasonable changes to programmes where required because of operational, technical, educational, safety or other circumstances.

4. Registration and Enrolment

Where registration or enrolment is available through the website or another MIIT channel, applicants are responsible for providing accurate and complete information.

Where a participant is under the applicable age of majority, registration or participation may require the involvement or consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Submission of an enquiry or registration form does not necessarily constitute acceptance into a programme. Enrolment is confirmed only when MIIT has communicated confirmation through an appropriate channel.

MIIT may decline an application where programme requirements are not met or where participation cannot reasonably be accommodated.

5. Fees and Payments

Where fees apply, the applicable fee, payment arrangements and relevant conditions will be communicated to participants or their parent or guardian before enrolment is confirmed.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, fees must be paid according to the payment arrangements communicated by MIIT.

Any refund, cancellation or transfer arrangements applicable to a particular programme will be communicated as part of that programme's registration information.

MIIT reserves the right to suspend or cancel participation where required payments have not been received in accordance with the applicable arrangements.

6. Online and Hybrid Learning

Some MIIT programmes may include live online classes, recorded lessons, digital learning materials, online communication or hybrid learning.

Participants are responsible for having reasonable access to the equipment, software and internet connection required for the relevant programme unless MIIT has expressly provided those resources.

MIIT cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to online learning where disruption results from internet service providers, telecommunications networks, third-party platforms, power interruptions or circumstances outside MIIT's reasonable control.

7. STEM Kits, Equipment and Materials

Certain programmes may involve STEM kits, robotics equipment, electronic components, drones, computers, tools or other physical materials.

Participants must use equipment responsibly and follow instructions provided by MIIT.

Participants may be required to follow additional safety requirements for particular activities or equipment.

Where equipment is provided on a loan or temporary basis, participants may be responsible for returning it in the condition specified by MIIT, subject to reasonable wear and tear.

8. Safety

Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions given by MIIT staff, instructors and programme facilitators.

Certain technology activities may involve electrical components, tools, moving equipment, drones or other equipment that requires appropriate supervision.

MIIT may restrict participation in an activity where it reasonably considers that a participant's conduct creates a safety risk.

Parents or legal guardians remain responsible for providing accurate information relevant to a child's participation where such information is reasonably required for safe programme delivery.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the MIIT website and its content, including text, graphics, photographs, videos, logos, course materials, branding and other original material, are owned by or licensed to MIIT and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may access and use website content for personal, non-commercial purposes connected with evaluating or participating in MIIT's services.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, sell, license or commercially exploit MIIT content without prior written permission.

Participants retain ownership of original work they independently create unless separate programme terms provide otherwise.

By submitting work to MIIT for a programme, competition, showcase or educational activity, you grant MIIT any permission specifically agreed at the time of submission. MIIT will not assume broader rights over participant work solely because it has been submitted for educational purposes.

10. Student Projects and Showcases

MIIT may provide opportunities for students to present or showcase projects developed through its programmes.

Where MIIT wishes to publicly publish a student's identifiable work, photograph, video, name or other personal information, the appropriate permission or consent will be obtained where required.

Parents or legal guardians may be contacted where consent is required for the publication of a minor's identifiable information or image.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms or services.

These third-party services operate independently from MIIT and may have their own terms and privacy policies.

MIIT does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, security, privacy practices or terms of third-party websites or services.

You should review the relevant third party's terms and privacy information before using those services.

12. Website Availability

MIIT aims to keep the website available and functional, but does not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors.

MIIT may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the website without prior notice where reasonably necessary.

13. Disclaimer

Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes.

While MIIT takes reasonable steps to maintain accurate information, it does not guarantee that all website content will always be complete, current or free from errors.

Participation in an educational programme does not guarantee a particular academic, professional, employment or financial outcome.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MIIT will not be responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including interruptions to telecommunications services, internet connectivity, third-party platforms, power services or other external infrastructure.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

15. Changes to These Terms

MIIT may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The updated version will be published on this website with a revised "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of the website after updated terms are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
